NCUI: NCCE trains officials of Kribhco in Noida

National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI, New Delhi recently organised a two day Training Programme on Cooperation and Cooperative Management for the personnel of Marketing Division of Kribhco’s Head Office in NOIDA, among others.

The level of participants were Chief Manager, Senior Manager, Dy. Manager, Senior Marketing Officer and Field Officer, read a press release sent by NCUI.

The objective of the programme was to sensitize participants to the concept and philosophy of cooperation & cooperative management as also acquaint them with the latest problems & challenges confronting fertilizer cooperatives.

The programme was attended by 40 participants out of which 27 participants were from the marketing division of Kribhco’s Head Office whereas 13 participants were from 13 states namely Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, West Bengal, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, AP, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

In his inaugural remarks, V. S. Sirohi, Marketing Director, KRIBHCO said Indian cooperative movement is the most diversified and largest cooperative movement in the world. He mentioned IFFCO and KRIBHCO as the leading fertilizer cooperatives that are extremely popular among the farmers in the country.

Speaking in the inaugural function, Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said the NCUI intends organizing several such cooperative education & training events for those who are interested in updating their knowledge about cooperatives.

Dubey pointed out that cooperatives had played an important role in socio-economic development of our country through green & white revolution. He also advocated the application of the most advanced technology by cooperatives.

T. S. Rao, GM (Mkt.), VSR Prasad, GM(M), R.S. Mathur, GM(F&A), Dr. Surendre Singh, AGM(M), Dr. R.S. Yadav, AGM(M), N.K. Bhadu, AGM(M) R.K. Kansal, AGM(M) also graced the inaugural function.

Topics such as Cooperative Thoughts & Concept, Cooperative Principles & Values and their Applications in Cooperative Functioning were taken up.

Subjects like Special Features of a Cooperative Organisation, Differentiation from Private and Public Sector, Problems and Challenges before Cooperative Movement in India special focus on fertilizer sector, Growth and Trends of Cooperative Movement in India, Salient Features of Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, Cooperative Management with Special Reference of KRIBHCO, Recent changes in cooperative laws were also discussed in detail during the two day exercise.
