The National Council for Cooperative Training has signed an MOU with the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) on 31st July, 2013 at the NIESBUD Head Quarter at NOIDA.
NIESBUD is an autonomous Institution under the Administrative control of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium, Enterprises (MSME) Government of India. The Signing of MOU has entitled all the RICMs/ICMs to organise the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes (ESDP’s) on regular basis in their respective States.
Further, the MoU will enable the NCCT to undertake joint research, content development, and development of training aids and also to identify the entrepreneurship/vocational programmes which can be organised jointly with NIESBUD.
The conduction of ESDP’s would help to achieve the motive of increasing the self-employment which is important for the growth of the economy. The RICMs/ICMs shall be benefited as a partner Institute of (NIESBUD) as it will contribute in increasing the revenue generation of the Institutes and the infrastructure and expertise of the Institutes can be utilised in optimum manner.
All the 19 RICMs/ICM units which are organising professional programmes such as MBA, PGDM and other Diplomas get the youth participants. The signing of MoU will provide an opportunity to organise Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes (ESDP’s) for the participants of different courses along with their main course by organising training during their vacant period, so they will be benefited by acquiring skills without investing extra time and will be better equipped for job placement or for the entrepreneurship venture.
