The training arm of apex body NCUI, NCCT conducted its 46th Conference of Directors of Regional Institutes of Cooperative Management aimed at reviewing progress of training programmes, faculty activities, resource mobilization etc in the first week of June at Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
Talking to Indian Cooperative soon after the conference NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said that the conference was a huge success as several important issues crucial for the smooth functioning of NCCT were raised by the participants. Without going into details he said “each of them would be solved sooner than later.”
Inaugurating the conference Dr.Chandrapal Singh Yadav who doubles as the Chairman of NCCT asked the participants to continue their good work in future too. “Cooperatives are strong enough to compete with corporate but we need to improve it constantly. There is a great demand of educated and trained manpower in cooperatives and the RICMs/ICMs are capable to fill up the gap. Let us make RICMS/ICMs self-reliant”, he said.
G.H Amin, Pramod Kumar Singh, Arun Tomar Director General of NCCT, Director VAMNICOM, Directors of RICMs/ICMs and officers among of NCCT among others participated.
Calendar of Programmes of ICM Bhopal for the year 2014-15 and the Achievements of NCCT for the year 2014-15 were released by Dr.Chandrapal Singh Yadav on the occasion. He also felicitated the Directors of VAMNICOM, RICM Gandhi Nagar, Patna and Bengaluru for generating the highest resources during the year 2014-15.
Mohan Kumar Mishra, Secretary NCCT presented brief report of NCCT activities for the year 2014-15.Mishra informed that against the target of 1600 training programmes the units of NCCT had conducted in total 2315 training programmes and against the target of 40000 participants,74653 participants were trained by the RICMs/ICMs, thus the achievement of NCCT during the year 2014-15 is 145% in terms of programmes and 187% in terms of participants.
“NCCT training programmes are facing the threat of imposition of service tax on the training programmes.Chairmen of RICMs/ICMs are requested to write a letters to the Ministers in their respective states in this regard”, he said.
Sanjib Patjoshi, Director, VAMNICOM said that only conducting training programmes does not serve the purpose but impact evaluation of the training programmes are also equally important. Dr. Dinesh Director General said the objective of the Conference is to assess our previous performance and plan for the future. Keeping the quality of the training high in important, he added.
