In a remarkable feat achieved by one of the institutes of cooperative management under the aegis of NCCT of apex body NCUI , the first mob apps on cooperation and cooperative has been created in the country.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, the developer of this Apps Dr A.K. Asthana who is also the Director of ICM, Bhopal said “ this apps has been developed for purpose of easy and digital learning in Cooperation”. It has brought cooperative education and training to digital level and develop a mobile apps through which Cooperation and cooperative management would be made available on mobile phone.
Expounding further Asthana said it has been developed in-house; it is developed for android smart phones and it is absolutely free for download from Goggle Play Store. Market of mobile phone is growing in India with CGRA of 13% and that of table is growing with CGRA 7%.
Cooperative leaders, academicians, researchers, students and cooperative trainees are using smart phone for every purposes. The same mobile phone can be used for providing cooperative education and training also.
In first phase subject of cooperation has been launched on this mobile apps. This apps contains various topics of cooperation such as definition and meaning of cooperation, principles of cooperation, values of cooperation, Objective of Cooperation, Origin of cooperative movement in India, development of cooperatives during (1904-1947) and major recommendations of various committees on cooperatives upto High Power Committee on Cooperatives.
Asthana claims that this is very exhaustive and authentic in content which is ready for download by millions of people associated with cooperative movement not only in India but also abroad.
This apps also contains information about Institute of Cooperative Management, its activity and its team. Dr.A.K.Asthana informed that latest IDE, Eclipse Luna, JRE, API 2.2 have been integrated while making this apps so that it can be downloaded hassle free on every mobile handset which run on android platform.
Initially, this apps is in English language but in future such apps can be made possible in regional languages and other subjects of cooperative management too.
Downloading this apps is easy. You need android based smart phone ( like Samsung) and internet connection. Visit goggle market or goggle play store. Type “Coop Icm Bhopal” in search bar and you will find the icon with this name. Click on the same and follow instruction for downloading. It takes 2 – 3 minutes to download on mobile phone depending on speed of Internet in local condition, says a release by ICM Bhopal.
