NCCE trains Kribhco employees to promote industry linkage

As informed by NCUI’s release, the educational arm of the apex cooperative body’ NCCE recently held a two-day program on Cooperation and Cooperative Management for the personnel of KRIBHCO in New Delhi.

The event was intended to impart training to 30 participants from KRIBHCO on the ethical aspects of the Cooperative Movement, Cooperative Ideologies and Cooperative Management for increasing the professionalization and democratization of coops.

KRIBHCO is one of the pioneer fertilizer cooperatives to intensify self-employment and investment opportunities by raising the membership shares and productivity of agriculture and allied activities.

The main objective of the program was to improve the capacity building, self -reliance, social assistance, general awareness and governance skills built up along the Cooperative values and principles.

The emphasis was also on the co-ops and their contributions to increase cooperation, self-help and mutual aid through cooperative education and training. The training was combined with the growth of the Cooperative Movement and the role of coops. To improve rural and agriculture development supported by the sustainable development goals in natural resources, agriculture, fertilizer, land and water.

The agriculture and fertilizer co-ops are taking up programs to raise agricultural productivity by adding value to cereals, sugarcane, oil seeds and honey manufacturing. They are also forming industry linkages with the cooperatives and encourage the contributions of Cooperative industries like KRIBHCO for improving operational efficiency, innovation and socio- economic sustainability.

The programs are mobilizing self-employment and additional income generating activities by upgrading professional and economic capabilities of their members and cooperative personnel.

During the two-day program, training sessions were held on the whole gamut of issues related to cooperation. Several eminent experts including Dr V.K Dubey, ED NCCE took these sessions.

The program was informative and full of guidance for the cooperative personnel to improve their professional management skills, organizational abilities and entrepreneurship development.
