National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI conducted a Leadership Development Programme for Urban Cooperative Banks at NCUI headquarters in Delhi last week with special emphasis on digital banking.
Participants numbering 34 and coming from states like Rajasthan, Kerala, Punjab, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, M.P. and Maharashtra were taught how to develop leadership and managerial skills with special focus on cashless & digital banking.
The participants were also provided with a platform to interact among themselves and discuss challenges and issues as well as their solutions for proper functioning of cooperatives.
“The effective communication & Leadership Skills for Board of Directors are very important to achieve the targets. Therefore, different subjects were incorporated in the training capsule for the banking sector”, read a press release sent by NCCE.
In the Inaugural function, Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said Education & Training is a continuous process. He also said the Cooperative Banking sector is playing a very important role in providing loans to the small businessmen and weaker sections to help them start their enterprises.
In the valedictory remarks, N Satyanarayana Chief Executive, NCUI said co-operatives should work in the light of cooperative principles for uplifting the social and economic conditions of its members.
Participants expressed freely the problems they face in the wake of recent changes in govt policies. Satyanarayan heard them out patiently and tried his best to help them find ways to solve these.
Yogesh Sharma, Director, NAFCUB was also present on this occasion. Dr. A.R. Srinath made a vote of thanks. Anant Dubey, Assistant Director, NCCE coordinated the programme.
