ICA A-P: Chandra Pal sees no fund constraints

NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal does not see that raising fund is going to be an issue in the run up to the ICA Asia-Pacific general assembly scheduled for 15-19 November this year. “If there is a will there is a way”, he said confidently to Indian Cooperative.

The mega cooperative show is going to be a major international event as it would involve accommodating foreign guests in starred properties besides taking care of their food and sundry other needs. It is more so as Mr Yadav has been insisting on doing it with a difference.

Problem of fund haunts them who do nothing and demand money but the whole world comes liberally cooperating if you have the purity of intention and the determination to achieve it, said the NCUI President with a touch of philosophy.

As it is, the NCUI has taken all major cooperative federations on board by calling a meeting. IFFCO, Kribhco, NCCF have already given their support in principle. Even the housing federations, Nafcub or NAFSCOB –everybody is with us on the issue, said the NCUI President.

In the recently held Education Fund Committee meeting an estimated budget to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore for the ICA (A-P) Regional Assembly was earmarked.

Convener of the Committee who now has been promoted as the Chief Executive N Satyanarayan said “ it is an estimated budget not an actual one as NCUI is expecting contributions from big cooperative federations such as IFFCO, Kribhco and others.
