Co-op Week: Singh ignores, not a word from Prez or PM

The All India Cooperative Week was launched with all the fanfare at the NCUI auditorium Saturday in Delhi by offering floral tributes to the former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The NCUI received several massages from the VVIPs but neither the President of India nor the Prime Minister bothered to say a word.

Though one of the junior ministers Mohanbhai Kundariya could make himself available for the occasion, Radha Mohan Singh was conspicuous by his absence.

Dr Dinesh Chief Executive of the apex body read out the massages on the occasion in the presence of Union Minister Mohanbhai Kundariya, NCUI President Chandra Pal and a 600 strong audience.

“We have received 48 massages on the occasion of the Cooperative Week. As it is not possible to read out all the massages I will read a few such”, said Dr Dinesh. Later he read messages received from Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and a few others.

More than ten Cabinet Ministers including Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Anant Kumar, Harshvardhan wrote to the NCUI on this occasion.

More than 13 Governors; which included governors of UP, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu sent their congratulatory messages, informed the CEO Dr Dinesh.

About eight CMs including that of Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, UP and others also wrote. Eight union minister of states as well as seven cooperation ministers from various states also sent their messages.
