Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Joint Secretary (Cooperation) DOAC, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI visited Institute of Cooperative Management, Guwahati last week and met HDCM participants.
The Institute is an intellectual nerve centre for co-op management and has been function as an apex management training institute in the north eastern region for over 40 years catering to management development training research and consultancy needs of various states such as Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh.
Mr Bhutani met the faculties of the unit and set the need of organising specialised training programmes as per the need of the cooperative and other allied organizations in the region. He also visited computer lab, class room, and library and hostel facilities.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. K.I. Meetai, Director briefed about the various programmes and activities undertaken by unit and emphasized the high academic standards of training by the unit.
The chairman of managing committee, Shri Kiran Kakati an eminent cooperator of the region welcomed the Joint secretary.
