Boosting Co-op Connect with Corporations: NCUI signs MoU

Sri Balaji University, Pune, (SBUP) a renowned hub of excellence in education, signed a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI). The signing ceremony, held at the university campus, marked the beginning of a significant collaboration between academia and industry. Dilip Sanghani, President NCUI and Chairman, IFFCO has graced this momentous occasion as a chief guest.

Chancellor SBUP, Paramanandhan Balasubramaniam delivered the welcome address and also expressed his gratitude and delight to the chief guest and NCUI for trusting the university for this collaboration.

Dr Manisha Paliwal, Professor and Dy. Head of R&D Cell, SBUP has briefed everyone about various strategic initiatives planned under this MoU between SBUP and NCUI.  The key objective of this MoU is to create a symbiotic relationship between corporations and cooperatives, emphasizing not just profit generation but also the fair distribution of gains among farmers and workers in rural regions. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural economies, fostering equity and sustainable growth.

Speaking on this occasion, Dileep Sanghani, President NCUI and Chairman, IFFCO, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration. He encouraged student managers to align the values of corporates with the cooperatives. To understand and educate themselves about the economic strength of the cooperative sector in India, he said that the young workforce could make an important part of innovations in this sector.

This collaboration will bring research, joint certifications, knowledge sharing opportunities for the entire academic fraternity of Sri Balaji University, Pune. This partnership also signifies commitment to nation building in alignment with the Hon’ble PM’s vision of “SAHAKAR SE SAMRUDDHI”. By integrating academic expertise with cooperative principles, both institutions are stepping into a realm where education meets empowerment.
