Pune based prestigious cooperative institution-Vamnicom has resumed its activities and started organizing the online training programs for different cooperative institutions. Pune has been one of the hotspots of Covid 19 in the country.
In the first of this kind Vamnicom conducted the first Online Training Program for the representatives of Pune DCCB last week under the guidance of Dr K K Tripathy, Director of Vamnicom.
The theme of the program was “Balance Sheet Analysis, Profitability and NPA Management”.
Over 25 participants attended the webinar-based program organized especially for the branch managers and other officials of the Pune DCCB.
The program was conducted by Prof D V Deshpande, a senior faculty member of the VAMNICOM institute.
On this occasion, Pune DCCB MD Pratap Sinh Chavan welcomed the initiative and said this way through digital media their staff would get much needed inputs as conducting training or sending staff for training is not viable during the COVID period.
Faculty members on the occasion collected the feedback through an online Google form and most of the 
participants appreciated the program and the faculty members and shared their view saying such programs are needed.
Besides, Vamnicom is also ready to conduct more such programs in the near future. Several events are in the pipeline including a webinar for dairy cooperatives on the theme of “Recent Amendments and Burning Issues on GST” scheduled for 9th June, 2020.
Several other events to be organized are “Webinar on Emerging Cyber security Challenges and preparedness for UCBs and Dairy Cooperatives on 4th June, 2020 and State Level Webinar on Emerging Cyber security Challenges and preparedness for Sugar factories in Maharashtra on 8th June, 2020.
The first confirmed case of coronavirus in Maharashtra was reported on 9 March 2020 in Pune, where a couple returning from Dubai tested positive. The next day, three more people in the city who had come in contact with the couple tested positive.
But since last week the situation has improved with less and less cases being reported now.
