LINAC, Bhubaneswar trains PACS members on book-keeping

NCDC’s training arm, LINAC Regional Training Centre, Bhubaneswar recently conducted a two-day Online Training Program on “Accounting & Book Keeping in Primary Level Cooperatives recently which was attended by several participants from PACS level.

The training program was especially designed for Secretaries, Accountants, Cashiers etc. of Primary Level Cooperative Societies with special focus on women cooperators and women cooperative societies.

Priyanath Panigrahi, Senior Auditor & B. P. Maity, Senior Auditor from Bhubaneswar Office of the Accountant General of Cooperative Societies, Odisha conducted the training sessions during the program.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Sundeep Kumar Nayak, IAS, Managing Director, NCDC & Lt. Col. Bikramjit Singh, Chief Director, LINAC, Gurugram, reads a press note.

The note adds that “The event was attended by 100 participants, including 25 women participants from different Primary Level Cooperative Societies of Odisha representing different districts across sectors including agriculture, credit, textiles, fisheries etc.

Shardul Jadhav, Regional Director, NCDC, Bhubaneswar welcomed the faculties and participants of the training program and also briefed about the objective of the training program.

In his Jadhav emphasized on training needs of cooperative professionals of primary level cooperatives to develop concepts of Accounting & Book Keeping to run the cooperative societies professionally with focus on nurturing primary level cooperative societies with the financial assistance from NCDC under Sahakar-22 vision of NCDC.

Earlier, Bhubaneswar Centre has successfully organized the 2nd module of an online Training Program themed on “Business Development and Asset Management in Primary Level Cooperatives”.

The programme spanned two days- 7th-8th July, 2020, in which 85 nominated participants from different Primary Level Cooperative Societies of Odisha representing different districts across sectors including agriculture, credit, textiles, fisheries etc participated.
