Nafed Director Ashok Thakur greeted national Vice-President and in-charge of the cooperative affairs in BJP Shyam Jaju on Tuesday his birthday.Thakur was accompanied by Parmesh Chauhan a BJP functionary while paying a call on the BJP vice-president in Delhi.
Shyam Jaju is also In-charge the Delhi BJP affairs and was seen cleaning Yamuna along with Harshvardhana and other leaders on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday on December 25. Jaju lauded the effort of the Delhi BJP for cleaning the Yamuna and announced that every district unit of the Delhi BJP would dedicate one day every month to the cause of cleaning the river bed.
He has left for Dehradun where a new state BJP chief’s name is to be announced on Thursday. A media release read BJP MPs Rakesh Singh and Shyam Jaju will be in Dehradun for the announcement which is expected to be made by noon.
A cooperator to the bone Shyam Jaju blames Congress for the sorry state of affairs in the cooperative movement, as reported in these columns recently. Cooperative for congress is a political turf but BJP does not think in terms of politics when it comes to cooperative, he averred.
On income tax exemption for cooperative Jaju feels the govt has to consider the issue sympathetically. He promised to raise the matter with the concerned authorities.
