Some criminal elements are said to have made away with Rs 7 lakh from the official of a cooperative society in Monga district of Punjab.
Police say they have already started investigating the case.
The scooter borne criminals struck at the cooperative society official when he was on his way to deposit money in the local central cooperative bank.
Earlier, miscreants withdrew an amount totaling Rs 27 lakh from one of the cooperative banks of the state.
