International Cooperative Alliance, ICA Expo 2010 opens its door today for all the cooperatives and general public who are keen in doing business.
Sri. H.D. Deve Gowda, Former Prime Minister of India inaugurates the Biggest International Cooperative Exhibition at K.T.P.O( Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation).
The three days exhibition will throw light on the opportunities offered from various countries to come forward and join hands to enhance agriculture and commodity segments.
Over 130 exhibitors from 23 countries will be participating in the mega event.
The agricultural products, food, beverage and services presented by ICA Expo exhibitors will showcase exclusive features and advantages of each market. This exhibition will ensure great competitiveness and provides an excellent platform for wholesalers, supermarket, hypermarket, exporter, importer, retailer, bar owner, bonded warehouse, hoteliers, restaurateur, chef, food & wine consultants.
ICA Expo Coop’s professional visitors will have a wide selection of competitive products and services ranging from agricultural, consumer, worker and service co-operatives (health, energy, and others). The suppliers of goods and services for the co-operative sector will demonstrate the financial and competitive advantages of co-operative products on which supermarkets, tourism (hotel and restaurant), distributors and wholesalers, traders who specialize in food and beverage, importers and exporters as well as government entities rely on.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shri. S. K Jakhar, IFFCO Chairman and ICA board member said “India is the largest democracy in the world where cooperatives operate in every village. There is almost no sector left untouched by the cooperative movement in India. It is indeed a moment of pride for the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Organisation of India (IFFCO) to host such a significant international co-operative event in the country”.
The Business Round Programme, the new initiative from ICA EXPO this year, aims to provide more business opportunities for exhibitors during the show, by identifying and bringing selected buyers from around the world to meet co-operatives and do business at ICA Expo Coop.
