audienceAccording to BJP leaders, the party govt in Madhya Pradesh has done a great deal over the last years to strengthen the cooperative movement in the state. It has worked hard to revive scores of district cooperative banks and cooperative organizations that had ceased to exist during the Congress rule.

That the welfare of the people at large has materialized through a vast network of cooperatives in the state is accepted on all hands, said BJP leaders. The party leaders were addressing a meeting held at Lokshkti Bhawan in Ujjain.

The tenor of the speeches made at the meeting was pretty critical of what the Congress had done to the cooperative movement in Madhya Pradesh. The Congressmen had cynically exploited cooperatives for their self-aggrandizement and given their endless corrupt activities they would never be able to stage a comeback on the cooperative scene, the BJP leaders asserted.

A large number of BJP leaders including Ramakant Bhargava, Rajesh Dagor, Kishan Singh Bhatol and others addressed the meeting.
