97th CAA: Would Minister take note?

Strange are the ways of the government. A mega jubilation dawned in the cooperative sector when 97th constitutional amendment elevating forming cooperative to the status of Fundamental Rights was passed.

But government of India has yet not corrected its site to incorporate the changes. Though the site http://www.indiacode.nic.in/coiweb/welcome.html announces that Constitution of India has been updated up to Ninety-Seventh Amendment Act, 2011.

Art. 19(1)(c) appears as it was before, so also 43B and Part IXB are missing from the Text of the Constitution of India being claimed to be updated till 97CAA.

“Ignorance of law no excuse” really pinches. Saying Law is an ASS is no remedy, commented an expert.

One of the Secretaries of government reacted strongly when this correspondent pointed out in a seminar that Gujarat High Court has struck the 97th CAA. He was not only not aware he was also not willing to accept!

Sharad Pawar is credited with ushering in the new era in the cooperative sector. But his babus are blissfully unaware of what is happening in the cooperative sector.

Would the Minister please take note and correct the anomaly? Fixing up accountability and punishing the guilty is indeed a far cry!
