The newly elected Chairman of Kribhco Mr. Bagachi Bhai Patel wants to tread a road of peace and prosperity. In an informal chat with Indian Cooperative .com he said that he will fix his priorities once he goes through the files.
Referring to uneasy relation with IFFCO, the newly elected Chairman said that he believes in live and let live. Doyen of cooperative movement in Gujarat and connected to grass root, Mr. Patel will have to chart a course which takes Kribhco to greater heights.
Kribhco’s activities have diversified into many fields and Mr. Patel will have to understand the organization fully first. Kribhco has a Fertilizer Complex at Hazira in Gujarat. It also has about ten Seed Processing Plants in various states. Along with Shyam Basic Infrastructure Kribhco has set up a Joint Venture company at Shahjahanpur.
Kribhco has also ventured into electricity generation with Gujarat State Energy Generation Limited to produce 156 MW at the cost of Rs 613 crore.
Kribhco along with IFFCO as Indian partner and Oman Oil Company has set up a joint venture for production of fertilizers known as OMIFCO in Oman.
Plus, the Society has an equity participation of Rs.10.00 crores in NFCL, which is involved in manufacturing a wide range of plant nutrients and low toxicity plant protection products.
But no hurdle is insurmountable before the confidence and zest as shown by Mr. Bagachi Bhai today after his election as the Chairman. Indian Cooperative.Com wishes him good luck!
