Kribhco’s oxygen reaches hospitals; Upbeat board members greet each other

One of the largest fertiliser co-operatives in the world Kribhco has become one of the first to come up with a quick delivery of medical grade oxygen in the time of severe shortage of the same across the country.

Two of Kribhco’s plants have gone operational this weekend with an upbeat Board congratulating the management for the speedy completion of the job.

The oxygen plant established by Kribhco at its Hazira Unit at Surat, is now fully operational. The daily production capacity of the medical grade oxygen plant of Surat will be 100 D-type Oxygen Cylinder.

Earlier Kribhco had commissioned an oxygen plant at KFL unit, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. And, the first consignment of oxygen from KFL Unit also arrived in Jhansi on Saturday.

As earlier in the case of the KFL unit,. the Hazira plant was inaugurated by Kribhco Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh from Jhansi on Saturday in the presence of board members and top officials.

Speaking on the occasion Kribhco Chairman Chandrapal Singh Yadav congratulated the team led by the Managing Director Rajan Chowdhary and said that the Hazira plant will supply medical grade oxygen free of cost to the hospitals in Surat and to the hospitals in adjoining areas.

Yadav said the speed with which the job was completed speaks volumes about the dedication of the Kribhco team. He extended special thanks to the Project officer Mr Sharma and conceded that Oxygen from the KFL Unit has already reached his area-Jhansi.

In his remarks on the occasion Kribhco MD Rajan Chowdhary thanked the Board and the Chairman for their unstinted support. “Our Chairman encouraged us at every step and lent his unconditional support to all our efforts”, said Chowdhary, the MD.

Lauding his team, the MD said “ever since our Chairman expressed his desire to produce medical grade oxygen, the entire team got into the job with an unprecedented zeal”.

Later, sharing the news through social media, the Kribhco Chairman wrote, “Today Kribhco inaugurates an oxygen plant in Hazira, Surat unit through video conferencing in the wake of Covid-19. The plant will supply medical oxygen to needy hospitals free of cost. This will help mitigate hardships of the people in this tough pandemic time”, said Kribhco Chairman.

The Kribhco Board members including Paresh Patel from Gujarat and Sunil Singh, who participated in the virtual event lauded the leadership of Chandra Pal for such a quick delivery.

Social media was abuzz with congratulatory messages for Kribhco in general and Chandrapal in particular on Saturday-the day the plant was inaugurated. Kribhco also came up with a film of the Plant on the occasion.
