Kribhco donates Rs 2 crore; Gowda applauds gesture

The second largest producer of urea in the country Kribhco has also risen to the occasion and done its bit by contributing Rs 2 crore to the PM Cares Fund on Tuesday in its support to fight against the Coronavirus.

The Kribhco Managing Director Rajan Chouwdhary announced the news and said the Kribhco top management has decided to strengthen PM’s hands by contributing Rs 2 crore.

The MD also tweeted and wrote, ” KRIBHCO contributes Rs 2 Crore to #PMCaresFund for supporting fight against #COVID19. @narendramodi @DVSadanandGowda, @PMOIndia , @fertmin_india ,@PIB_India”.

As soon as Kribhco donated the fund, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda thanked Kribhco for making a contribution. Gowda tweeted, “I thank #KRIBHCO Management for making a contribution of Rs 2 Crore to #PMCARES Fund to fight against #COVID19 & support all relief work for #IndiaFightsCorona”.

Gowda also retweeted the Kribhco Managing Director’s tweet which made the announcement of the donation.

The contribution of Rs 2 crore has been remitted on Tuesday by Kribhco through its ICICI Bank account to the PM cares on Tuesday, added the MD.

Kribhco is also active at the ground level by distributing masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, soaps and other necessary items to the laborers and others at places across the country, said Kribhco AGM (Public Relation and Marketing) Sanjay Kumar Singh to this correspondent on the phone.

Several people have appreciated the move of Kribhco in contributing to the PM care fund in order to help the govt in fighting against the Covid-19. One of the MD’s followers wrote, “I salute Respected Sir for the strong support in this battle against COVID-19. Your humanitarian efforts during this time will help many Indians”.

Another wrote, “Great humanitarian help to fight this biggest crisis of our life time”. Similarly, Sundeep Singh one of the MD’s followers wrote, ” Really sir it’s great decision…congratulations”.

Though, Noida based Kribhco headquarters is totally closed till 15th April 2020 but its units spread across the country are operational.

Earlier, IFFCO had contributed Rs 25 Crore to the PM-CARES Fund on Tuesday noon, underlining the fact that co-ops are not behind when it comes to fighting national calamities.
