The Common Services Centers, under the Ministry of Electronics & IT, signed a MoU with Kribhco to provide access to fertilizers and agricultural inputs to farmers through the network of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE’s) at the last mile.

As per MoU, CSCs will facilitate the sales and distribution of the KRIBHCO products which includes Kribhco Fertilizers like, imported urea, DAP, NPK/NPS, Bio fertilizer, City Compost, Zinc Sulphate, Certified seeds, Hybrid Seeds and Potash derived from Molasses.

“Kribhco is engaged in the business of manufacturing, importing and marketing of Fertilizers, Agri inputs and Seeds. CSC will use its e-Platform technology for smooth and efficient delivery of KRIBHCO products”, reads a press release sent by Kribhco.

CSC SPV is facilitating support and business to farmers, agriculturist, citizens through VLEs and Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) which are engaged in facilitating all activities related to agriculture and farming including sowing, manuring, harvesting, storage, processing, and selling of farm produce and agricultural product.

On this partnership Managing Director, CSC SPV, Dr Dinesh Tyagi said that our partnership with Kribhco is a step ahead in furthering the agenda of the Government in serving the farmers and underserved community, especially those living in the rural areas. The last mile delivery is an important aspect of our activities at CSCs and the partnership will help us reach out to farmers and citizens in the villages with timely supply of reliable and quality Agri inputs, he added.

Rajan Chowdhry, MD, Kribhco said that it is committed towards fulfilling the goal of doubling the income of Farmers. He felt Covid induced pandemic has resulted in organizations going digital and becoming tech savvy.

Chowdhry stressed that the FPOs as Agribusiness retailers will transform the farming community to “Agriculture Entrepreneur” from the “Agriculture Producer”. He was highly appreciative of the ICT platform which CSC had developed for the supply of Agri inputs to the Farmers.

Kribhco MD said both the organizations have similar objectives of ensuring farmers prosperity and welfare. He also expressed his firm resolve to strengthen this tie up and scale up the business in time to come.

It bears recall that Kribhco has been distributing its products through its channel partners mainly in cooperatives sector. It also supplies products through and its own retail outlets, commonly known as Krishak Bharati Sewa Kendra (KBSKs).

Common Services Centres (CSCs) Scheme is one of key enablers of the Digital India program. CSCs are the access points for e-delivery of G2C, education, healthcare, agriculture, and financial services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.
