Soon after the Phulpur Board meeting which ensured the elevation of Yogendra Kumar and others as ED, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi and the team resumed Connect Farmers’ Campaign and visited Allahabad and Naimisharnya- their 90th and 91st destinations, to be precise.

In Allahabad the team was joined by the state Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. Maurya was felicitated by IFFCO Stoll on the occasion. Welcoming Maurya Awasthi tweeted “the Deputy CM‘s presence has added élan to the meeting farmers’ campaign.”

Inaugurating the IFFCO programme the Deputy CM addressed farmers in the KP Community Centre in Allahabad. He also paid a visit to different stalls of the IFFCO exhibition.

Later, speaking to farmers Awasthi dwelt on the theme of crop-rotation and expounded at length the benefits accruing from adopting this practice. He once again emphasized the use of bio-fertilizers.

Several guests-farmers and cooperators alike were also felicitated on the occasion. MD reminded farmers of their big role in the food-chain system and talked extensively on increasing their profit margin.

The IFFCO MD also found time to meet the Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Hridya Narain Dixit. The two are said to have discussed issues being faced by the farmers of the state.

The IFFCO team led by the MD reached Naimisharanya on Sunday- its 91st destination.
