Rupala & Mandaviya visit Nano Lab in Kalol; Rupani flags off a truck

Soon after it was launched at IFFCO’s 50th AGM, the IFFCO’s Nano Urea is all over the place and Kalol, which houses the globally sophisticated Nano Plant, had several prominent visitors last week.

The Gujarat Chief Minister flagged Nano urea virtually on Saturday, MoS Mansukh Mandaviya and MoS Parshottam Rupala visited the Kalol laboratory separately to understand the miracle unfolding in different states. The Ministers also flagged off Nano urea from Kalol for the farmers of Gujarat.

Earlier, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani flagged off a truck of Nano urea in the presence of the IFFCO Vice-Chairman Dileep Sanghani. IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, Joint MD Rakesh Kapur and Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar, among others virtually connected with the event.

Tweeting about his visit to Nano urea plant in Kalol, Mansukh Mandaviya, MoS wrote in Hindi “Visited Nano Urea lab developed at the call of the Prime Minister in Kalol; Eco-friendly Nano urea would certainly ensure more saving and increase in yield for the farmers. Also flagged off a truck of the same for the farmers”

Parshottam Rupala, who was at Kalol on Saturday, took a detour to the plant and interacted with the engineers. “Rupala Ji, also visited the control unit center of world’s 1st Nano Urea plant at Kalol, Gujarat. He saw & enquired about all the operations and interacted with engineers to know more about plant & process”, tweeted IFFCO MD giving details of the visit.

The Ministers during their visit to Kalol also watched the automated packaging and delivery line of world’s 1st Nano Urea plant by IFFCO at Kalol, Gujarat. The plant is fitted with world class fully automated technology to give the best quality to farmers, claimed IFFCO MD Awasthi through a tweet.

Earlier, beating Corona scare, IFFCO MD himself visited the Kalol unit and interacted with the team and discussed the future of Nano technology for soil nutrition & agriculture. “I am happy to see the enthusiasm shown by each member of the team”, added Awasthi.

Nano is being flagged off every day by one VIP or the other. A day before it was flagged off by IFFCO Chairman B S Nakai for the farmers of Haryana and before that by the Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha for the farmers of the union territory.

It bears recall that Nano range of fertilisers are patented technology of IFFCO developed at its Nano Biotechnology Research Center, Gujarat. IFFCO has priced nano urea liquid at ?240 per bottle, which is 10 per cent cheaper than the cost of a bag of conventional urea.

The nano urea plant at Kalol has a production capacity of 1.5 lakh bottles per day. Besides Kalol, IFFCO plans to construct nano urea plants at its Aonla and Phulpur.
