The newly developed IFFCO Nano Technology can help ease the global warming situation, said its Managing Director Dr. U S Awasthi while virtually interacting with the employees and the associates of the fertilizer cooperative last week.

This meeting of IFFCO, among the family members and associates, took place in the backdrop of the government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself lauding its latest Nano fertilizers developed by the co-op titan.

Speaking on the occasion IFFCO MD Dr Awasthi said “IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid will make a positive impact on the quality of underground water, significant reduction in global warming and also with an impact on climate change and sustainable development. It will also increase crop production with improved nutritional quality”.

Awasthi further added that the Nano Urea liquid will not only help the farmers in a big way but also support the government in reducing subsidies given by the Government. So far, we have developed 2.25 crore bottles of Nano Urea Liquid but with the operation of the Nano Urea plant at Phulpur, Aonla, Bangalore and Assam, we can develop 30 crore bottles, he claimed.

“A 500 ml bottle of IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid will replace at least one bag of conventional Urea. It contains 40,000 ppm of Nitrogen in a 500 ml bottle which is equivalent to the impact of nitrogen nutrient provided by one bag of conventional Urea”, he reiterated.

In his address, IFFCO Marketing Head Yogendra Kumar said that Nano Technology is a game-changer for the agriculture sector. Recalling Nano’s growth story, Kumar said, “We started work on this project in 2019, and in the same year we succeeded in developing the technology.”

We had done the field trial in our Kalol Plant on three crops including, Peanut, Bajra, and Moong and we were excited with the result. Afterward, we started to fulfil the procedure for launching it in an open market. We have got encouraging responses from everywhere”, he informed the gathering which was live watched by more than 2500 people.

Speaking further Yogendra Kumar said “IFFCO started field trials of Nano fertilizers in almost all the states and in several union territories. The field trials were held on farms of over 11,000 farmers. Besides, IFFCO is also working on the spraying of the Nano urea through drone technology”, Kumar added.

He also made a presentation and answered questions raised by the participants. On the occasion, IFFCO Director (HR & Legal) R P Singh, A K Gupta, and other senior as well as junior officials were present.
