A day after the presentation of the Union Budget 2022-23, addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about the Nano Urea which is developed by none other than the largest fertilizer cooperative-IFFCO recently and getting good response from the farmers.
“The Nano Fertilizer will help the farmers in a big way and reduce the fertilizer crisis across the country. Our scientists have developed this technology which is very beneficial for the farmers. Though we had not directly mentioned the Nano Urea in the Union Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday we are working in this direction”, said Modi in his speech.
A euphoric Managing Director Dr. U S Awasthi wrote, ” We thank PM Sh. @narendramodi ji for encouraging & mentioning innovative World’s First Nano Fertiliser. It will be a paradigm shift in the history of agriculture worldwide. We welcome #NanoUrea #NanoFertilisers”.
Prime Minister said that in the last budget we had made a provision of Rs 80k crore for the fertilizer subsidy but to help the farmers of the country further, we infused Rs 40,000 crore extra for the fertilizer subsidy. This was done due to Covid-19, the sector faced problems because of the supply chain problems and the increase in the rate of fertilizer could not become a burden for them”, the PM asserted.
“Now we have increased the fertilizer subsidy from the existing Rs 80,000 crore to Rs 1,05,000 crore. And in the coming days, we are coming with the new scheme namely Nano Fertilizer”, he informed the party men.
Besides, IFFCO is also working on the new technology of spraying the Nano Urea through drones which will help the farmers in a big way, and in the Union Budget Nirmala Sitharaman also talked about the spraying of insecticides, pesticides, and others through drone technology in the fields of farmers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also referred to drone-driven Nano urea sprinkling exercises, going on across states in his “Mann Ki Baat” broadcast recently.
Earlier, the IFFCO Nano Urea found a mention in the Economic Survey placed in the House by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
