Displaying a fruitful partnership between the government and the cooperative, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and IFFCO Chairman & MD Dileep Sanghani and Dr U S Awasthi, joined hands in popularizing Nano range of fertilizers in Gujarat.

The fertilizer cooperative organized a cooperative conference at Palitana in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat where among others, Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expounded at great length on the benefits of Nano Urea and Nano DAP before the farmers.

Sharing the news through social media, Mandaviya wrote, “Interacted with the farmers in the awareness program on Nano Urea and Nano DAP organized by IFFCO in Palitana. Discussed with farmers the benefits of Nano Urea and Nano DAP like their low cost and protection of soil and environment”, he added.

More than a thousand farmers were present in the assembly which was addressed one by one by each of them– IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi and Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar, among others.

Addressing the farmers, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani said, “The newly developed technology IFFCO Nano Urea and DAP will certainly reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and enhance crop productivity. This is a giant step towards sustainable agriculture.

IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said, “The Nano Urea and DAP has been developed in the IFFCO’s Kalol unit in Gujarat. This technology will save foreign exchange worth Rs 1 lakh crore of our country”.

“We urged the farmers to use the Nano range of fertilizers developed by IFFCO on their crops to get better and encouraging results. It is eco-friendly with more productivity which will in turn make farmers’ income double”, he added.

The IFFCO also felicitated Palitana Taluka Cooperative Buying and Selling Association President Nagjibhai Vaghani during the seminar. During the conference, the IFFCO representatives recounted the benefits of IFFCO Nano Urea and DAP on crops of the farmers.

Readers would recall that recently IFFCO’s Nano DAP has been approved by the Union Agriculture Ministry and notified in the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) on Friday. The plant is being set up at Paradeep, Kalol and Kandla and the production is set to be started from July this year.

The Modi government including the Prime Minister himself have been exhorting farmers to take up to Nano range of fertilizers for increased benefits. Recently, after Nano Urea, the Prime Minister lauded the new technology of the largest fertilizer cooperative IFFCO’s Nano DAP and called it a game changer for farmers of the country.

The PM wrote, “An important step towards making life easier for our farmer brothers and sisters”; Mandaviya wrote, “Another big achievement towards self-sufficiency in fertilizers! After Nano Urea, the Government of India has now approved Nano DAP”.
