The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is set to launch a new natural agricultural input, Dharamrut, at a Mega Cooperative and Farmers Conference to be held today in Bengaluru. The event will take place at the Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad International Auditorium at the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, and is expected to draw wide participation from farmers, cooperative leaders and agricultural experts from across Karnataka and neighbouring regions.

The conference is being organised as a major outreach initiative aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement and familiarising farmers with new technologies and sustainable farming practices.

More than 3,000 farmers and cooperative representatives are expected to attend the programme physically, while thousands more are likely to join through live webcasting across various districts of Karnataka, ensuring broad-based participation.

Dharamrut is a natural botanical formulation developed by IFFCO to support soil health and crop productivity. It is based on seaweed extracts and is enriched with naturally occurring compounds such as amino acids and alginic acid.

According to IFFCO, the product has been designed to improve plant growth, enhance stress tolerance and support sustainable agriculture by reducing excessive dependence on chemical inputs. The launch of Dharamrut aligns with the cooperative’s larger strategy of promoting eco-friendly and climate-resilient farming solutions for Indian farmers.

Senior IFFCO officials, including Chairman Dileep Sanghani, Managing Director K J Patel and Director K Srinivasagowda, are scheduled to address the gathering. The leadership is expected to highlight the role of cooperatives in empowering farmers, improving rural livelihoods and contributing to national food security. They will also outline IFFCO’s vision of combining traditional cooperative values with modern science and innovation to meet the evolving needs of agriculture.

The Bengaluru conference will also showcase IFFCO’s expanding portfolio of advanced agricultural inputs, including its nano fertilisers, which have gained national attention for their efficiency and potential to lower input costs. Through interactions, presentations and demonstrations, farmers will be introduced to new products and best practices that can help increase productivity while safeguarding soil and environmental health.

IFFCO has indicated that arrangements are being made to ensure the availability of Dharamrut through its cooperative marketing network soon after the launch. The event is expected to serve as a significant platform for dialogue between farmers, cooperatives and experts, reinforcing the cooperative model as a key driver of sustainable and inclusive agricultural growth in India.
