Praising the Nano Technology of IFFCO, Union Minister of State from Chemical & Fertilizer, Mansukh Mandaviya said ”I have personally used Nano Zinc, Cooper, Nitrogen, the newly developed product of IFFCO in my farm and got the encouraging results.
With the spraying of Nano nitrogen, yields spiked considerably and has not only improved the quality of produce but also raised its production”, said Mandaviya participating in a brainstorming webinar on ‘Soil Rejuvenation and Enhancement of Productivity’, organized by IFFCO’s Gujarat Unit.
In his remarks, Mandaviya urged farmers to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer in their soil. “In order to maintain the soil health, there is an urgent need to replace the chemical fertilizer with organic fertilizer. The Government of India has been encouraging the use of bio fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers through State Governments under various schemes and programs”, he noted.
IFFCO Vice-Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, IFFCO Marketing Head Yogendra Kumar, Dr V.P Ramani of Anand Agriculture University, several top-notch officials, farmers and many others were present in the webinar.
The Union Minister of State gave his speech in Gujarati because thousands of farmers from Gujarat were watching the show live on YouTube. IFFCO Gujarat State Manager N S Patel shared the key highlights of the Minister’s speech with Indian Cooperative on the phone.
In his speech IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said not reducing the amount of nitrogen in farming will lead to climate change and that in turn will affect the habitat of several species. And this will cause a considerable decline in our productivity as well. In this context, IFFCO has decided to find a solution by giving nitrogen which should be scientific and also environmentally friendly. We have launched Nano Nitrogen which is being experimented at several locations and getting fruitful responses, he underlined.
“Now we are planning to set up a unit at Kalol, Gujarat after getting clearance from the concerned ministries. We hope that the production will start in the first week of April 2021. One nano bottle is equal to one bag and a farmer no longer needs to carry a bag on his shoulder. We are also giving the soil testing facility for the farmers and also ran the ‘Save the Soil’ campaign across India”, Awasthi added.
In his speech IFFCO Marketing Head Yogendra Kumar said, the people have been farming since ages but the soil quality was not affected because they were not using the chemical fertilizer on their crop and were dependent on organic fertilizer. Even they adopted a crop cycle and used to do mixed farming. There is a need to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer and a need to promote organic fertilizer in a big way, the young Marketing Director added.
