IFFCO MD visits Paradeep, site of the biggest Nano Urea plant

The fertilizer cooperative IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi took stock of the Nano Urea manufacturing plant site at its Paradeep unit in Odisha last week. The biggest Nano Urea plant is being planned here in Paradeep.

On the occasion, IFFCO’s Paradeep Unit Head K J Patel along with his team explained Awasthi about the entire plan at the site. The information along with photographs were shared by the IFFCO MD through his twitter wall.

“I Visited the entire Proposed #IFFCONanoUrea Manufacturing Plant Site at #IFFCO Paradeep Plant. Also, interacted with the Plant Head Sh. @kjpatelparadeep and his team who explained the plan at site. We are looking forward to the biggest #NanoUrea plant here”, he tweeted.

It is being said that IFFCO’s Nano Urea is becoming a big hit among the farmers of the country. Earlier IFFCO MD said, “We will soon set up Nano Urea (Liquid) and NANO DAP plants and IFFCO Paradeep will have the biggest Nano Urea plant.”

During his visit, he also visited the newly constructed oxygen plant at the said unit and hoped that it would soon start supplying the free oxygen to the hospitals, as promised by IFFCO when the second wave of Covid-19 was at its peak.

Awasthi also performed the traditional puja at the IFFCO Paradeep plant for Jagannath Rath Yatra where the priest was invited. The puja was performed with the strict protocols as issued by government authorities.

Besides, the IFFCO MD also interacted with the engineers and officials of the unit and inspected the materials manufactured at the Paradeep unit. He visited each and every section of the unit. “During my plant visit at Paradeep, I also inspected the Energy Center established to work on the energy savings”, he wrote on his twitter wall.

IFFCO MD had toured IFFCO Kalol recently and overseen the working of the Nano plant during Covid-19. The news had caught the fancy of many co-operators who lauded the MD for his courage to take risks.

It beras recall that IFFCO has five plants at Kalol, Kandla, Phulpur, Aonla and Paradeep in India and two units overseas. Apart from its core fertiliser business, IFFCO has also diversified into General Insurance, Rural Retail, Farm Forestry, Rural Telecom, Agrochemicals and others.
