IFFCO awarded Patent for Nano Urea for 20 years; Co-operators clap

IFFCO, the stellar fertilizer cooperative, has been awarded a patent for its ground-breaking invention titled “Nano Urea Fertilizer and Method of Manufacture thereof.”

This patent, granted for a period of 20 years starting from January 12, 2023, is a significant milestone in agricultural innovation.

The granting of the patent aligns with the provisions outlined in the Patents Act of 1970. Dr. U S Awasthi, Managing Director of IFFCO shared the news across social media platforms. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, and others for their support.

Dr. Awasthi emphasized the transformative potential of this innovation, stating, “This innovation would help farmers on effective nitrogen nutrition to crops and guide them towards profitable and sustainable farming.”

Acknowledging the collaborative effort behind this achievement, Dr. Awasthi extended his congratulations to the entire team at IFFCO and thanked the government officials for their leadership and support.

The MD highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s vision for chemical-free farming and the guidance provided by Ministers Amit Shah and Mansukhbhai Mandaviya.
