It is celebration time for IFFCO. Fortune India 500 has yet again ranked the largest fertilizer cooperative as the top most company in the category of “Fertilizer and Agro Chemicals industries” in the country. Besides, in overall companies’ ranking IFFCO got the 58th position in Fortune India 500.
The elevation of 10 notch from that of the last year has made the co-op titan ecstatic. Earlier, IFFCO had ranked the 68th position. The reputation of the Fortune India 500 could be understood from the fact that companies like Reliance Industries and Indian Oil Corporation got the 1st and 2nd positions respectively in this list.
IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi shared the good news through social media where followers competed with each other in congratulating him as well as IFFCO on this grand show. Many said “its results of your hard-labour sir”.
Announcing the news, Awasthi tweeted “Happy to share that #IFFCO is again Ranked number 1, the top place in the #Fertiliser & #AgroChemical industries in #India by @FortuneMagazine. @FortuneIndia 500 list #IFFCO is in top 60 & ranked 58th in overall all companies ranking. Committed to farmers & #cooperative service.
MD’s followers, who are growing in number with times greeted him profusely. One of them said, “Congratulations and again proud moment for us, we always do better and better under your great leadership for our farmers and nation”.
Another wrote, “Congratulations to Team #IFFCO and our Hon’ble MD @drusawasthi Sir for again achieving this feat. Long live #IFFCO and our leader @drusawasthi sir we have done it again. We are proud to have you as our leader sir”.
The rankings are based on many factors such as innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment and global competitiveness.
The list of Fortune 500 Indian companies is compiled annually by the Magazine’s Indian edition.
