Case of lifting of IFFCO story from Indian Cooperative

PSU Connect, a website on corporates has committed a clear-cut act of copyright infringement when a couple of days ago, it published a news item on IFFCO which was taken wholesale from Indian Cooperative. Worse, it did not even once mention the name Indian Cooperative in its report.

Indian Cooperative has issued a show cause notice to the website asking it to explain. The Editor Ajay Jha said that legal notice may follow once the reply of the website comes.

The news in question is on IFFCO securing number one position in the category of Fertilizer and Agro Chemicals industries in the country by Fortune India 500.

How brazenly the article has been shoplifted becomes obvious when one compares the two links.

Indian Cooperative also culls news on cooperative from other publications but it never infringes on the copyright law. First, we always give credit to the source and two we never use more than two paragraphs as dictated by the law, said its editor Jha.

PSU Connect offers apology

It writes
