With the cases of rampant use of chemical fertilizer on the rise the farmers’ cooperative IFFCO has launched the awareness campaign spearheaded by none else but the Managing Director Dr US Awasthi.
IFFCO MD is on a whirlwind tour of different villages of Rajasthan and is visiting different locations. His twitter- box is full with details of his visits such as “Visited #Khatu Gram Sewa Sahakari Samiti #Rjasthan . This society is profitable, got godown, mini bank, consumer store.”
In another tweet Dr Awasthi says “Participated in conference on women participation & awakening in cooperative in #Palasana Gram Sahakari Samiti.”
Again he visited Thikaria Gram Sewa Sahakari Samiti in remote location of Rajasthan and was visibly happy with the growth of cooperative in this remote village.
IFFCO MD also used the occasion to dedicate a few useful things to farmers. He dedicated IFFCO supported conference hall of Palsana Gram Sahakari summit . Also Dr Awasthi dedicated IFFCO sponsored godown and office of Rozda Gram Sewa Sahakari Samiti in the village Sardapur.
Later he elaborated on the working of Soil testing lab and emphasized on the burning need of balanced use of fertilizer. He advocated moderation and de-emphasized over-dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers.
