Congratulations for Aditya Yadav’s glorious victory at ICA continue to trickle in at Indian Cooperative desk. We are sorting out two –one from the Regional Director of ICA (A-P) Balu Aiyer and another from the Vice-President of NCUI G H Amin for the publication.
Balu Aiyer: “It indeed is a proud moment to have Mr. Aditya Yadav from India elected to global board. He will bring new perspectives and energy to the activities of the board. I wish him all success!”
G H Amin: “IFFCO has made the country proud and it is a victory for the entire cooperative fraternity of India”.
Going down the memory lane Amin went on” it was Sisodiaji who had contested from NCUI for the ICA seat but he could not succeed. Soon after his demise I took over as the President of NCUI and a situation of floating a candidate for next ICA election presented itself before me.”
“I remember I was approached by IFFCO which wanted to field Surender Jakhar for the coveted post. Since preparation for the election was tough as it involved campaigning at global level, we decided to support Jakhar’s candidature. Jakhar later succeeded”, Amin reminisced.
But Jakhar’s untimely demise robbed IFFCO as well as India of its due place on ICA board. Now this young man Aditya has made us proud by claiming back our due, Amin said.
