The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has established the Dr Varghese Kurien Academic Centre in Mehsana in memory of the father of India’s white revolution.
Nirmala Kurien, daughter of late Dr Kurien inaugurated the center on Sunday.
The GCMMF Managing Director R.S. Sodhi was the guest of honour while Vipul Chaudhary, Chairman, GCMMF, and Dudhsagar Dairy, Mehsana, presided over the function.
Talking to Indian Cooperative GCMMF MD Mr R S Sodhi said that Kurien was an institution unto himself and it is a small tribute to the great man. Kurien’s vision and style of functioning are worth emulating for the present generation, he added.
