Yes there is election in Biscomaun now!

The title may sound funny but when you know the fast-changing scenario of the Biscomaun election you would not find it funny. Only a couple of days before Indian Cooperative broke the news with the title” No election in Biscomaun now”. And now we say”Yes, there is election in Biscomaun now!”

Despite Biscomaun Chairman denying that he is going to the Supreme Court to seek a stay on the High Court ruling of 31st March, Biscomaun knocked at the door of the apex court getting stay on High Court order causing jubilation in the Chairman Camp.

Senior Advocate Rajeev Dhawan argued on behalf of Biscomaun in the Court no 6, said Mr Singh to Indian Cooperative.

Readers are aware that the Patna High Court had on 31st March dealt a blow to the ambitions of the high-flying Sunil Singh. It stayed the Central Registrar’s order granting status of the multi state cooperative society to Biscomaun. This meant Biscomaun could not continue with the election, delegates for which had already been elected and the final election was scheduled for April.

”As I told you earlier I respect the judgment of the court. There would not be any hitch now as the nominations for the director of the new Board are scheduled for 12th April. We are going to come out with bold and loud advt announcing the election so our detractors have no point against us”, Sunil Singh said hinting at the controversy surrounding the unnoticeable advt raised by Vinay Shahi earlier.

In a press release sent to Indian Cooperative Biscomaun says in the light of the Supreme Court ruling on Thursday the election process would continue as planned.

Sunil Singh who was hit hard by the High Court decision of March 31 and practically went into hibernation was a changed man on Thursday. He sounded chirpy and full of plans for future. But he said though Nitish Kumar is an honest Chief Minister, overpowered by the compulsions of coalition-politics he had to make a person like Jai Kumar a Minister.
