Vamnicom: MoS asks students to explore different types of co-ops

Union Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma opened the Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Agri Business Management (PGDM-ABM) 2022-24 of prestigious cooperative institution-Vamnicom on Monday at its headquarters located in Pune and extended the best wishes to all the newly admitted students.

This course is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, and has been graded as equivalent to M.B.A. degree by Association of Indian Universities and accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.

Vamnicom Director Dr.Hema Yadav welcomed all the Guests, Parents, Faculty and Students who attended the Inaugural Function. She highlighted various activities that the students will undertake during the two-year PGDM-ABM program.

She added that Vamnicom has had the excellent placement record of this program and since its inception we have been providing opportunities to students to explore and get acquainted with different co-ops during their courses.

Besides Vamnicom Director Hema Yadav, the function was attended by R.G.Agrawal, Chairman, Dhanuka AgriTech Limited, Zonal Head of GCMMF and Alumni Representative Mr Atul Suru and others.

A press release sent by Vamnicom to Indian Cooperative reads, “On the occasion Verma stressed upon the importance of agribusiness and cooperative education in the overall development agenda of the country. He congratulated all the students for taking admission in the unique PGDM-ABM program focusing on the agribusiness ecosystem.”

Verma appreciated the efforts put in by VAMNICOM for nurturing the upcoming agribusiness graduates. Verma stressed the crucial role played by the cooperative sector in strengthening the rural economy and also encouraged the students to interact with farmers to know about the intricate issues in agriculture and agribusiness, the press release adds.

The chief guest added that ample opportunities exist in the agriculture & cooperatives sectors which are the backbone of the Indian economy in which youth should participate.

Soon after the event, the Minister also shared the details and photographs through his social media handles, which were later widely shared by his followers. The Registrar, VAMNICOM proposed a vote of thanks.
