Vamnicom holds seminar on Gender Budgeting & Smart Cities

Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) recently organized a 3day National Level Workshop on “Gender Budgeting & Smart Cities Mission” in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi, Government of India, informs a press release.

Sumer Singh Gurjar, Commissioner Ferozepur Division, Ferozepur, Punjab was the Chief Guest of the program. Dr K. K. Tripathy, Director, VAMNICOM, Dr Binti Singh Faculty, KRVIA, Mumbai, Ms Ankita Bhat, Consultant, UN Women, MWCD, New Delhi, Dr Manisha Paliwal, Head, Centre for Gender Studies, Vamnicom – all these dignitaries inaugurated the program.

Subjects like – Smart City in India – Urban Laboratory, Paradigm or Trajectory, Gender Budgeting Concepts and Conceptual Framework, Differential Gender Needs and Protective Social Welfare, and other related topics were discussed by the industry experts during this 3 day workshop.

Dr Manisha Paliwal was the Program Director of the workshop. Participants from across 18 states of the country attended the workshop. Dr.K.K.Tripathy, welcomed the chief guest and delivered the inaugural speech.

Chief Guest. Sumer Singh Gurjar during his speech mainly focused on issues of Gender Equality & Women Safety. He also said each one of us should play our active role in shaping the society in which we live in. He also underlined the importance of social values in progress of any society.
