Sunil steals hearts; Sanghani calls him future of Indian co-op movement

Sunil Kumar Singh, Chairman of Biscomaun and the host of Bihar Co-op Conference held last week in Patna, stole co-operators’ hearts as they showered praise on him one after another using adjectives liberally.

Sunil’s hospitality, backed by the minutest-planning for comforts and care of the outstation co-operators who had come from far away states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, etc was appreciated by one and all.

Senior co-operator Dileep Singh could not hold himself and wrapped a shawl around Sunil Singh, while he himself was being felicitated at a cooperative function in Bodh Gaya towards the end of the 3 day event.

“He is the real hero and he deserves the credit for organizing a co-op conference which is going to be the template for all future co-op events not only in India but also in the world”, said Sanghani in an emotionally choked voice. Sanghani called Sunil the rising star of the co-operative movement in the country.

Soon after Sanghani, there was a flood of appreciation coming in for the Biscomaun Chairman.

Alka Srivastava, a co-operator from Madhya Pradesh said “I see a great future for a leader like Sunil Singh who has organized the event with great fineness”. I am sure you are going to lead the co-operative movement of the country in the future, she added.

Surekha Khot, a social worker and woman co-operator from Maharashtra lauded Sunil and said “We are touched by your welcome; May God bless you”.

Andhra Pradesh senior co-operator K N Rajanna said “I must admit you have welcomed us so well; we wish you all the best in life”.

B K Mishra, MD of Fishcopfed said that the conference was a huge success and a lesson for all of us. Mishra went to the extent of saying that it was managed even better than the World Cooperative Congress held earlier in Delhi. The successful management proves that Patna can hold a World Cooperative Conference”, Mishra added.

Mishra also thanked Sunil for the fact that Bihar Agriculture Minister Prem Kumar earlier announced that 12 lakh state fishermen would be insured with the help of Fishcopfed. “It was all due to you and Bihar would be number one state so far as fishermen’ insurance is concerned”, stated the MD.

The Indian Cooperative team which was part of the tour to Rajgir and Bodhgaya organized for outstation cooperators by Biscomaun also noticed that local co-operators were waiting at many places to welcome and help the visiting team.

Jitendra Kumar, Biscomaun Director and an MLA in Bihar Assembly played an active role and felicitated the co-operators in Rajgir. NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav who was part of the team till Rajgir was overwhelmed by the reception accorded to co-operators by the local PACS units. Yadav thanked Jeetendra and wished him all the best.
