Sunil pooh-poohs Shahi, calls him nonentity

Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh pooh-poohed the allegations of Vinay Shahi that the whole exercise of fielding two cooperators against Ramesh Chaubey was aimed at making money. He also rejected the charge of RJD playing any role in cooperative elections.

Does he know that the bank chaired by Chaubey is controlled by RBI and NABARD? How can anyone working under a system of exemplary financial discipline make money, Singh wondered rejecting Shahi’s argument as political bullshit.

“For God’s-shake do not pit me against Vinay Shahi who is a nonentity in the cooperative circles here, and if you persist I would not take your question and put down the phone,” Biscomaun Chairman threatened.

Indian Cooperative wonders indeed that how can a person who is the Chairman of state cooperative union (technically superior to marketing federation cooperative) be a nonentity. There are indeed many who with ulterior motives level charges but what makes a mature media take note is the stature of the subject in question. Bihar State Cooperative Union is the apex cooperative body of the state and is an extension of NCUI. Whether Sunil likes it or not Shahi is its Chairman as of now.

Vinay Shahi had reacted when Sunil and his team levelled charges of employing money and muscle by the troika of Vishal Singh-Vijay Singh- Vinay Shahi in the run up to the elections in Bihar State Cooperative Bank. Besides other things, Shahi had also said that Sunil went to seek the Muzafferpur cooperator Amar Pandey‘s blessings after cheating him thrice in the past. “Being large-hearted Pandey obliged him one more chance”, Shahi had stated.

Rejecting Shahi’s utterances as signs of frustration, Sunil did not seem inclined to respond to questions from Indian Cooperative and slammed the phone betraying signs of exasperation.

It bears recall that recently Ramesh Chaubey was declared winner as the Chairman of Bihar State Cooperative Bank and the intense fight for the top post had led to allegations and counter allegations between the two camps. It was billed as a fight between two Co-operative Singhs of the state- Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh and Nafed director Vishal Singh.
