SimplyDesi’s mandate to infuse values in business: RSS Chief

“SimplyDesi” is not here to do business but is here to infuse human values even in the business activities”, said RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat while inaugurating a store of ‘Simply Desi’ at Children’s Park in Dharampeth in Nagpur on Thursday.

Lauding the cooperative spirit of India, Bhagwat said the aim of Simplydesi is not to earn profit but to help hundreds and thousands of women who are busy making different products. Simplydesi offers them a platform and aims to empower them. It also aims to earn a name for the country across the globe by standardization of Indian products made by Indian artisans, he added.

Bhagwat exhorted the audience to visit and buy products from SimplyDesi so that those women Involved in the project could be encouraged and empowered. He also lauded the name “Simplydesi” and said that one should always choose a name that can fetch it a market.

National President of Sahakar Bharati Dinanath Thakur, National General Secretary Dr. Uday Joshi; National Organiser Sanjay Pachpor; Maharashtra State President Dr. Shashitai Ahire; Maharashtra Pradesh General Secretary Vivek Jugade, and others were present on the occasion.

Bhagwat took a round of various stalls of the showroom and lauded the uniqueness of its products. Many karyakartas of Sahakar Bharati accompanied him on the occasion.

Launched with a motto “To Bring Indian Cottage Industries to Global Platform” SimplyDesi, is an initiative taken by Sahakar Bharati, an organization focused to enlighten the masses about the benefits of the cooperative mode of doing business.

SimplyDesi aims at providing a global marketplace for those organizations which have skills but no idea of how to market them. It strives to bring to the limelight the products and services of thousands and lakhs of people who work as a Self-Help Group or as a cooperative.

Since its launch in 2019, it has introduced a range of products including jams, juices, shampoos, dry fruits, and many others.
