Sahakar Bharati aims opening medical & silk co-ops in UP

The spread of credit cooperative societies across the country will prove to be a boon in providing micro loans to the common men as in cooperatives, members are their owners. This was expressed by the national organizing secretary of Sahakar Bharti, Sanjay Pachpor  at the inauguration ceremony of FPO in the village Amahiya, Gorakhpur recently.

Pachpore said there is a problem in taking loans from nationalized banks but with the presence of credit co-ops, members will be able to easily get loans for small industries. He inaugurated both the Amahiya credit co-op society and FPO in the village.

On the occasion, Chairman of PCF Valmiki Tripathi was also present. Echoing Pachpore, Tripathy said that small and middle-class farmers can get more profit by processing their produce by joining the farmer producer organizations.

Sahakar Bharati UP State President Narendra Upadhyay said that by training the members of Sahakar Bharti committees, members of co-op societies are increasingly becoming free from social prejudices. Co-op operates without the colour of caste or creed, he added.

State General Secretary of Sahakar Bharti Uttar Pradesh, Dr Praveen Singh Jadaun, said that Sahakar Bharti is continuously trying for the upliftment of cooperative societies in the state by forming credit, silk, industrial, milk production and medical cooperative societies in rural areas. There is a lot of employment potential in the area, he stated.

Meenakshi Rai, the state head of Sahakar Bharti SHG cell, said that Sahakar Bharti will provide assistance in marketing the products made by women through self-help groups in rural areas.

At the beginning of the function, Durgesh Tripathi, President of Amahiya Credit Cooperative Society, welcomed the guests and threw light on the objectives of the Credit Cooperative Society.

The village office of Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. and Farmer Producer Organization was inaugurated by the guests by cutting the ribbon. The village head Arvind Singh expressed gratitude to all the guests in the ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Veena Gupta.

The National co-convenor of SHG cell, Rajesh Sharma, state communication head, Ashok Kumar Shukla, head of labour cooperative cell, Vishnu Dubey, head of sugarcane cell, Karmaveer Singh, Niwas Singh, department coordinator, Gorakhpur division, co-department coordinator, Arun Kumar Singh, were present in the inauguration ceremony.

The SHG co-coordinator Komal Gupta, Dr Om Prakash Tripathi, Vishwa Bandhu Gupta, president Mahanagar Gorakhpur, Mahesh Jaiswal, General Secretary, Mahanagar Gorakhpur, Komal Madhesia, Co-head SSG, Rajneesh Singh, were also present.
