Addressing a meeting of Bihar Sahakarita Prasasnik (Administrative) Sewa Sangh at Deep Narayan Singh Regional Cooperative Management Institute at Patna recently, Bihar Cooperative Minister Rana Randhir Singh said ” Cooperatives have the potential to take Bihar and the country to still greater heights.

The issue of pendency of promotion has become a major issue in the state. Bihar Sahakarita Prasasnik (Administrative) Sewa Sangh General Secretary informed that out of a total 102 posts in Bihar, only nine officers are working on promotions till date and other promotions are pending.

The cooperative department is a tool of growth not only for farmers and cooperatives but also for the state and that is why, promoting officers of the cooperative department on time has engaged our attention”, the minister said which sounded music to the ears of officials.

He said, the government of Bihar is taking every issue of the Cooperative department seriously. Cooperative plays an important role in socio and economic development. Therefore all the issues related to cooperatives will be addressed by the state govt without delay.

The objective of this meeting was to create a new management for Bihar Sahakarita Prasasnik (Administrative) Sewa Sangh. Several issues related to cooperatives were also discussed on the occasion.

Bihar State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ramesh Chaubey was also present on the occasion.
