Odisha Jan Morcha general secretary Jagneshwar Babu has been granted bail by the Odisha High Court in the Odisha State Bank case.
Mr. Jagneshwar Babu had earlier been arrested under the prevention of corruption Act. In his bail petition Jagneshwar Babu had argued that the Patnaik govt. had made him seem guilty by producing false evidence against him.
Political observers say the high court releasing him on bail may cause dollops of embarrassment to the Patnaik govt.
Jagneshwar Babu is a senior cooperative leader and was on the board of NAFSCOB for a number years before he took a plunge in politics.
