NCUI to kick off Co-op Fair today in presence of Sanghani & others

NCUI is organizing Cooperative Fair (Sahakar Mela) 2023 from 3rd-8th November 2023 at its complex at Haus Khas in Delhi. NCUI President and other top leaders are scheduled to inaugurate the event today on Friday.

“The last two fairs were organized on the occasion on All India Cooperative Week (14-20th Nov) but this time around Sahakar Mela 2023 is being held from 3rd-8th Nov 2023 in response to a huge public demand”, reads a release from the apex co-op body.

During the Sahakar Mela 2022, around 75 stalls of cooperatives and self-help groups (SHGs) were set up, with a registered whopping sale of ?50 lakh during the Fair for the Indian artisans.

Though there is a slight space crunch at the NCUI Campus, still around 45 stalls of pan-India lesser-known cooperatives, SHGs & Farmers’ Producer Organizations (FPOs) can be expected at the Sahakar Mela 2023.

During the opening ceremony on 3rd Nov 2023 (around 2.30 pm) , ICA-AP President Dr Chandrapal Singh Yadav, NAFED Chairman Bijender Singh and NCUI President Dileep Sanghani, along with NCUI’s Chief Executive Dr Sudhir Mahajan & Deputy Chief Executive Savitri Singh, many national federation officials will be present.

The Cooperative Fair timings will be 10.30 am to 8 pm everyday (3-8 Nov 2023).

In the release NCUI says “NCUI extends its invite to all & sundry to visit the Cooperative Fair 2023 celebrations and shop high quality products at ‘fair’ prices at the Cooperative Fair 2023!

“Handicrafts, handlooms & apparel, decoratives, food items etc., from authentic artisans associated with various cooperatives, SHGs & FPOs from across the country will be available at this one-stop destination – the Cooperative Fair 2023 (3-8 Nov 2023) @ NCUI, Delhi!

Supporting the cause of local artisans, NCUI is fully sponsoring Cooperative fair for the third consecutive year now. It also aims to encourage  ‘Local for Vocal’.
