Soon after his conquest at IFFCO, Dileep Sanghani was ready to attend to the issues of NCUI and the first thing he did was to get the NCUI employees their dues pending for a long time.
NCUI’s Governing Council which met on 11th May 2024 gave a nod for releasing Dearness Allowance (DA)/ Dearness Relief of NCUI employees, pensioners, family pensioners.
It is being reported that it was the long pending issue, which got the green signal in the governing council meeting, created a joy of happiness among the employees of the NCUI.
It is estimated that the total monthly expenditure on account of implementation of the revised rates of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.01.2023 will be Rs. 3,67,600/- per month and Dearness Relief w.e.f. 01.01.2023 will be Rs. 2,05,860/- per month.
It bears recall that as per the approval of the 190th Governing Council meeting of NCUI held on 27.12.2018, the NCUI Service Rules were amended and according to the amended service rules the employees of the Union will be entitled to allowances.
Besides, in the governing council meeting, the board also considered and approved the provisional annual accounts of NCUI for the year 2023-24, which will later on be placed before the GC before finally placing it in the annual general body meeting for approval.
NCUI incurred a total expenditure on approved activities (including 17th Indian Cooperative Congress, demolition & construction NCCE hostel, financial assistance for CEF approved activities etc) worth Rs 103.13 crore as on 31st March 2024.
The board also considered the amendments of the bye-laws as recommended by the sub committee, headed under the chairmanship K Sivadasan, in accordance with MSCS Act and Rules 2023, which will be placed before the delegates of NCUI in the annual general meeting for formal approval.
The said sub-committee met thrice on 21.09.2023, 07.02.2024 & 15.02.2024 and after detailed deliberation proposed the required amendments in the bye laws of NCUI in confirmative with the new MSCS Act & Rules 2023.
The governing council also co-opted Delhi State Cooperative Union Vice-President Sukhbir Singh Panwar in the place of Late V.P.Singh.
