NCCE trains co-operators from Amreli; Manish leads the team

Several co-operators from the home district, Amreli of NCUI President Dileep Sanghani participated in a co-op training program conducted by NCCE, an education arm of NCUI recently.

Talking to Indian Cooperative, Sanghani who was present at the conclusion of the training program, said that training is an important aspect as it prepares the co-operators and co-op staff members ready to take up challenges in the cooperative mode of doing business.

The participants numbering 48, were members of Amreli District Cooperative Union. Manish Sanghani, who is the son of NCUI President, is the Chairman of the district co-op union. Manish had himself led the team to Delhi at the NCUI campus for the training.

Since Amreli is an area of operation for Dileep Sanghani, he knew most of the participants personally. They thronged his office soon after the event. In a congenial atmosphere they were offered tea even as they watched how the President of the national apex body of co-ops operated in real life.

Talking to Indian Cooperative Manish Sanghani said the main objective of the program was to improve the capacity building, self-reliance, general awareness and governance skills built up along the Cooperative values and principles.

Such programs do enhance one’s performance at their workplaces. The participants were also sensitized to the policy deficit and other issues before cooperatives to strengthen them further, he added.

The topics covered in the training program comprised introduction to the coop movement, coop principles & values, digital transactions through mobile phones, role of cooperatives in agricultural and rural development, cooperative laws, problems & challenges before coops & strategies to overcome them, importance of data & research in coops.

The sessions were taken by expert faculty members deputed by NCUI’s Deputy CE, Savitri Singh. The programs are mobilizing self-employment and additional income generating activities by upgrading professional and economic capabilities of their members and cooperative personnel.
