The National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) is set to host a press conference today, Thursday, 6th November 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Deputy Speaker Hall, Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, to announce details of the upcoming international event- ‘Co-op Kumbh 2025’, a landmark global conference on the Urban Cooperative Credit Sector.
To be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 10–11 November 2025, Co-op Kumbh 2025 is being organized by NAFCUB, with the support of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, under the central theme – “Digitalising Dreams – Empowering Communities.”
The press meet will be addressed by Laxmi Dass, President, NAFCUB, and Jyotindra Mehta, Chairman, NUCFDC, along with senior representatives from NAFCUB, the Ministry of Cooperation, and prominent cooperative and banking leaders. They will outline the vision, objectives, and expected outcomes of this historic initiative.
Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister of Home and Cooperation, will grace the inaugural session of Co-op Kumbh 2025 as the Chief Guest, setting the tone for a transformative dialogue on the future of India’s cooperative credit movement.
The two-day international event will bring together 1,500 Urban Cooperative Banks and over 60,000 Credit Societies, uniting policymakers, regulators, cooperative leaders, and technology experts from across India and abroad.
Held during the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the conference aims to showcase India’s cooperative strength on the global stage.
Core objectives of Co-op Kumbh 2025 include strengthening policy, governance, and digital transformation in cooperative finance; promoting innovation, professionalism, and inclusive leadership among women and youth; and presenting the Delhi Declaration 2025- Roadmap to 2030, a visionary framework for sectoral growth.
Highlighting its impact and significance, the event marks a transformative milestone in India’s cooperative credit movement, positioning the sector as a global model of inclusive, ethical, and sustainable finance.
The conference seeks to digitalise dreams and empower communities, shaping a stronger, more resilient cooperative future for India.
