Mehta greets PM on Janmashtami; promises Sahakar se Samariddhi

Nafcub President and veteran cooperator Jyotindrabhai Mehta paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. Though a personal call, Mehta did not forget to discuss Modi’s vision of Sahahkar se Samriddhi.

He met the Prime Minister at his residence. Besides Mehta, his son Rahul Mehta, daughter in law and grandson were also present on this occasion.

The half an hour meeting concluded with discussions about the cooperative sector, among other things. On the occasion Mehta also presented a cooperative memento to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Later, talking to the Indian Cooperative Mehta said, “It was a courtesy call and family meeting. But discussions about cooperatives were also held. This one on one meeting with the Prime Minister was held after a long gap”. Mehta who is primarily an RSS swamsevak is a popular figure in the Suarashtra region of Gujarat.

Soon after the meeting, Mehta shared the photos of the meeting through social media. His post was flooded with congratulatory messages. One of his followers Ranjeet Jha wrote, “It is really a great moment to have meeting with such a tall leader of the world but for us he is still a Swamsevak and the disciple of Vakil Saheb”.

Another wrote, “Feeling so joyous for you today, Jyotinbhai and family. What an impressive meeting with Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. We all hope that you too will play an important role in national politics someday”.

Kamini Vora, one of his followers on facebook wrote, “Congratulations Jyoti Bhai. Simply overjoyed to see your achievements. You are proof that good things come to those who are willing to sacrifice to reach a worthwhile goal. Words can’t express how proud we are!”.

A cooperator of 45 years’ field experience, Mehta’s rise in the cooperative sector has been remarkable. Starting from Rajkot he came to head almost all the urban co-op bank federations-from district to state to the national level. He also headed Sahakar Bharati affiliated with the RSS.
