May you succeed this time! Chorus for Marathe

Armed with best wishes from cooperators, Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe reportedly met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Sunday afternoon for pre-budget consultations. Earlier, NCUI Chief Executive N Satyanarayan and IFFCO Joint MD Rakesh Kapur had met Jaitley.

Marathe could not share the details of the meeting as he was not available on the phone. His secretary said ”yes he was to meet Jaitley as it was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. I will tell him your message and he would get back”, she promised. Indian Cooperative would post its readers on the talks he held with the Minister as soon as it is made available to us.

Marathe’s last face book status update on the issue read” Reached Delhi, alongwith Sh Vishnuji Bobade, Ntl Jt Org Secretary, for pre Budget interaction with with Hon Sh Arunji Jaitley, Fin Minister.”

The post attracted a large number of reactions underlining the desperation of the cooperative sector to be heard by the govt. If Rekha Limaye wished Best luck for the co-operative sector and hoped some positive points will be considered, Vinayak Shrirang Kulkarni, his next friend said “Good decisions are expected when you are there to discuss budget proposals. Hope for the Best”

Sadanandan Nellippa wrote “ The Budget presented by the FM Jaitley last two years had no mention about co-op sector. We now hope good things to happen in this sector. All the best satishji.”

One of his friends wrote “May god give you success, at least this time. Only you have the knowledge to address the biased views of Government in respect of Cooperative banks. My all hopes are pinned on you.”

Some others wanted Marathe to discuss non-cooperative issues as well, as Mohan Sahasrabudhe wrote “Please discuss about family pension which is fixed from retirement e.g. I am getting Rs.1553/ since 2006 to date”
